Pictures from Paradise

During 2006-2011 I have done three video works. They are based on still photos of plants and flowers I have taken in my own garden, or in the botanical gardens in Helsinki, and in Gambia, in Germany and in London Kew Gardens.

Technically: I zone the background of the photos away and after that I combine parts of even 10-20 photos in the same picture.

In the exhibitions these videos are always projected on the wall, from the floor to the roof. So the visitor can imagine she is arriving in to a garden, a green paradise.

Besides these, in to my videoworks belongs a work titled A Memory - White on White. It is a dvd-video edited 2007 from 8mm substandard, that I have filmed in the year 1999 (duration about 3 minutes).
